THREE PHASES OF THE TEST:

The pretest phase is where the examiner shares in detail what the procedure is going to be and, together, the examiner and the subject determine what questions will be asked.

The Data Acquisition Phase is the actual administration of the test.  This is the shortest phase of the polygraph examination.

The Data Analysis Phase is where the results of the examination are discussed with the subject.
